Camp Voyageur invites girls ages 12 to 18 to our home in the magical lake country of Northern Minnesota. Whether you just feel ready for your first trip into the Boundary Waters or have canoed before, you will be amazed at the joys and growth ignited from a week on the trail.
The Camp Voyageur 10-day girls’ program starts with base camp instruction in canoeing and portaging. Then share food and personal gear packing tips, while you plan for a 7-day canoe adventure deep in the Boundary Waters Wilderness. Return to camp a week later for a refreshing hot sauna and family-style meals before heading back home. Most girls return to Voyageur to renew friendships and accept the challenge of more difficult canoe routes. Experienced Voyageur girls have paddled to Grand Portage, deep into Canada’s Quetico, kayaked the Apostle Islands and have hiked over Isle Royale.
